The 2026 International Conference on Politics, Society & Transcultural Studies (ICPSTS 2026) will be held in mid-July 2026 at the School of Sinology at Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai, Thailand.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) ranks first in Thailand in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings and has consistently been among the top tier in the QS Asia University Rankings, making it one of the recognized leading academic institutions in Southeast Asia. As the co-organizer of this conference, the School of Sinology at Mae Fah Luang University will provide full venue and reception support for the event.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located in Chiang Rai Province in northern Thailand, Mae Fah Luang University is the only national autonomous university in Thailand that adopts full English-medium instruction, and is also one of the fastest-growing higher education institutions in the country. Covering an area of over 800 hectares, the campus is surrounded by mountains, where modern buildings blend harmoniously with natural forests. Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) currently houses 14 colleges, offering 38 undergraduate programs, 19 master\u2019s programs and 14 doctoral programs. Approximately 70% of its faculty members hold study or research experience from Europe and the United States. The university is also a member of several prominent international alliances, including the China-Thailand Higher Education Cooperation Alliance and the Belt and Road\/Maritime Silk Road University Alliance<\/mark><\/strong>, providing extensive academic network support for the international participation of this conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The School of Sinology at MFU was co-established by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban), Xiamen University of China and Mae Fah Luang University, and was officially inaugurated in 2006. It serves as the co-organizer and main venue provider of ICPSTS 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deeply integrated into MFU\u2019s academic system, the School of Sinology has supported the university in developing its initial Chinese Language Department into School of Sinology with over 2,000 enrolled students. Each year, it offers Chinese language courses to more than 4,000 students through over 120 classes, making it one of the largest and most influential colleges of Chinese language in northern Thailand and even Southeast Asia.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With extensive experience in organizing international conferences and profound achievements in China-Thailand academic cooperation, the School of Sinology serves as a vital academic pillar for the landing of the ICPSTS series conferences in Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
